Our former Chair, Jacqui Daley, has been busy.
After nine years on the Board of the Hunter Manufacturing Awards, including the past three years as Chair, Jacqui has turned her attention to something she has been thinking about for a long time: how to better support the marketers working inside Australia’s industrial businesses.
The result is BRAG, a new book launching on 13 October, written specifically for manufacturing, engineering, defence, energy and other industrial businesses.
Drawing on Jacqui’s years working alongside industrial businesses, BRAG looks at how organisations can better communicate their capability, strengthen their market position and give marketing a more strategic role in supporting growth.
And the book is only the beginning.
BRAG.CLUB is being built for industrial marketers around the country, with the first push starting right here in the Hunter.
Jacqui remains closely connected to HMA as a judge in 2026, so we are very happy to help spread the word about what is coming next.
Apply for the BRAG Club 20
Ahead of the book launch, 20 industrial marketers are being invited to become founding members of BRAG.CLUB through the BRAG Club 20 competition.
The selected marketers will receive a signed copy of BRAG, a complimentary ticket to Hunter Innovation Festival on 24 November, the chance to connect with other industrial marketers and the opportunity to be part of BRAG.CLUB from the beginning.
If you work in marketing inside manufacturing, engineering, defence, energy or another technical industry, this is a good opportunity to get involved.
Entry is free and closes Monday 5 October 2026.

Get BRAG from 13 October
From 13 October, BRAG will be available in print, as an audiobook and as an eBook.
You can order directly through brag.club, or find it wherever you usually buy your books.
The book has been written for the people leading and marketing industrial businesses who want a clearer, more commercially grounded approach to positioning, visibility, growth and marketing strategy.
If your business is doing strong work but could be better understood by the markets you want to reach, BRAG has been written with that challenge in mind.
