The HMA Board of Directors has announced that Steven Smith has been appointed as the new Chair of HMA. Steven has been involved in manufacturing all his working life, and is currently a Director at Advitech Group where he is an engineering consultant to steel, aluminium, rail, food, cement, foundries, defence and other manufacturing sectors. He served as Chairman of the Board of Hunternet in 2002 and 2003.
Steven sees the manufacturing environment under constant change and his vision is to work with the team of HMA Directors to ensure that HMA continues as the preeminent acknowledgement and showcase of manufacturing expertise and capability in the Region.
Steven replaces Bob Cowan, who served as Chairman for 11 years and who will continue on the Board as a Director.
